Explore Ola Electric’s Latest S1 Pro Gen 2 and S1X Electric Scooters

Ola Electric, an expert in Indian EVs, introduces new electric scooters to a wider audience.

Ola Electric stands out in India’s EV sector, leading the way for electric mobility adoption. Now, they’ve unveiled more models based on the S1 electric scooter platform. On August 15, 2023, during Ola’s Customer Day event, the brand revealed its future plans, including four new electric motorcycles as covered in a previous story.

New Ola S1X Electric Scooters

Ola’s latest additions are about to hit Indian roads. Expanding the S1 electric scooter range, Ola presents the S1 Pro Gen 2. This premium electric scooter offers impressive performance, extended range, and advanced technology. Priced at Rs 147,499 (around $1,773 USD), it includes convenient features like a flat floorboard for storing bags and an improved front telescopic fork.

The updated S1 Pro Gen 2 is equipped with an 11-kilowatt electric motor, delivering about 15 horsepower. It reaches a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour (approximately 75 miles per hour) and accelerates from 0 to 25 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds. Ola Electric claims a real-world range of 195 kilometers (approximately 122 miles) on a single charge.

Ola’s Latest S1 Pro Gen 2

In addition to the S1 Pro Gen 2, Ola Electric caters to budget-conscious consumers. The S1X lineup offers more affordable EV options without compromising on performance and technology. There are three S1X models: S1X+, S1X (2kWh), and S1X (3kWh), all powered by a six-kilowatt (around eight horsepower) electric motor. Their distinctions lie in range and top speeds.

The S1X+ and S1X (3kWh) models feature a three-kilowatt-hour battery, providing a claimed range of 151 kilometers (about 94 miles) on a single charge. Top speed for these scooters is approximately 90 kilometers per hour (about 56 miles per hour). On the other hand, the S1X (2kWh) has a slightly smaller battery, offering a range of 57 miles and a top speed of 53 miles per hour. The S1X range starts at Rs 89,999 ($1,081 USD) for the S1X (2kWh), Rs 99,999 ($1,202 USD) for the S1X (3kWh), and Rs 109,999 ($1,322 USD) for the S1X+.
