Ather Energy, the popular electric two-wheeler brand, has exciting plans to unveil a fresh family-oriented scooter by early 2024.
Tarun Mehta, the CEO of Ather Energy, recently confirmed that the upcoming scooter will be bigger than their current 450 series, offering increased space and comfort. Not just that, Mehta highlighted that this new scooter will be budget-friendly and will serve as the company’s entry-level model.
Alongside this announcement, Mehta also mentioned upcoming updates for the 450 series around the same time next year. The focus remains on maintaining the sleek, sharp design while boosting performance.
Mehta promised that the 2024 Ather 450 range will bring the “best in refined performance” with top-notch features. However, he did note that these advancements might come with a slightly higher price.
Taking to his official social media, Mehta shared the news, saying, “This upcoming model is set to redefine your riding experience with its outstanding features. While it does come with a slightly higher price, trust me, it’s worth every penny.”
Currently, the Ather 450 comes in two variants – 450S and 450X. The 450X, equipped with a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack, boasts a claimed range of 150 km on a single charge and reaches a top speed of 90 kmph. Prices for the 450S start at Rs 1.30 lakh, while the 450X begins from Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom). With the introduction of the new family scooter and updates to the 450 series, Ather Energy is committed to offering innovative and high-performance electric two-wheelers to its customers.
