Ather 450 Apex: Exciting news is coming in the world of electric scooters as Ather is set to introduce its latest addition to the 450 series. Ather Energy co-founder and CEO, Tarun Mehta recently revealed the company’s plans for a cutting-edge flagship model set to join its lineup. Giving people a glimpse, Mehta took to Twitter to release the teaser of the upcoming e-scooter 450 Apex, which is set to make its grand debut next year.
Ather graciously invited select community members to test ride the 450 Apex, building anticipation for its official launch in the coming year. While promising to retain the exceptional quality of the 450 series, the updated range is poised to introduce unparalleled features. Naturally, such advancements in performance and technology might come with a higher price tag, but Mehta assures enthusiasts that the investment will be worthwhile.

The 450 Apex: Setting New Standards in Performance
Mehta, in a previous announcement, described the upcoming model as the “absolute pinnacle of refined performance.” Emphasizing on the inclusion of top-tier features, he hinted at a premium yet justifiable price point. A teaser video shared by Mehta showcased experts testing the 450 Apex, revealing its exhilarating performance potential.
Rumors also hint at a special limited-edition version named Series 2, speculated to boast fully transparent body panels. Mehta had previously teased this variant on his social media handles. However, Ather remains tight-lipped about the detailed specifications of the 450 Apex, keeping enthusiasts on the edge of their seats.
Expanding the Electric Scooter Lineup
Apart from the 450 Apex, the EV startup from Bengaluru is diligently working on another family-oriented electric scooter slated for next year. Expected to be more budget-friendly compared to the current models, this scooter aims to strike a balance between cost and performance while maintaining a commendable single-charge range. Specific details about this model are currently scarce.
In a noteworthy update back in October, Ather introduced new variants of the 450X, offering two battery options – 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh. Priced at Rs 1.26 lakh and Rs 1.29 lakh respectively, these variants continue to enhance Ather’s product range. The 450 series starts with the 450S, available in a single variant and priced at Rs 1.18 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, inclusive of FAME II subsidies).
