Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film Animal has stormed the box office, shattering records and leaving audiences awestruck. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, collected a staggering ₹40 crore on its first Monday, making it the “biggest Monday ever” for a Bollywood film.
With this phenomenal performance, Animal’s total domestic box office collection now stands at ₹216.64 crore. Adding the regional dubs, the film’s total earnings cross ₹246 crore, solidifying its position as a major blockbuster.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the film’s “exceptional hold” on a working day, calling it an “eye-opener.” He also predicts that Animal will dominate the box office until the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar during the Christmas weekend.

Adarsh further believes that Animal has the potential to join the prestigious 500 crore club, currently occupied by Pathaan, Jawan, and Gadar 2. He tweeted, “Animal is a blockbuster… Keeping its unstoppable run in mind, Animal will be a one-horse race till the Christmas biggies arrive. 2023 will go down as a landmark year…”

Animal opened to a massive weekend collection, despite its “A” certification. It earned ₹70.69 crore in total on Sunday, with ₹63.46 crore coming from the Hindi version and ₹7.23 crore from South-Indian languages.
While some critics have been critical of the film’s violence and protagonist’s behavior, there’s no denying its incredible box office success. Animal has established itself as a force to be reckoned with, leaving audiences eagerly awaiting its next record-breaking feat.
