Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to unveil its first all-electric vehicle, the eVX, in India, aiming for a late 2024 debut. Unlike its competitors like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400, the eVX will be an SUV designed entirely as an electric vehicle.
The company recently disclosed its comprehensive plan for the much-anticipated Maruti Suzuki eVX. To ensure competitive pricing, Maruti Suzuki plans to heavily localize production and will also export the model from India, starting with European markets.
Spy shots of the electric SUV undergoing testing in India have revealed several exciting features. These include an ORVM-mounted camera providing a 360-degree surround view, stylish multi-spoke alloy wheels, a roof-mounted spoiler with a built-in stop lamp, a rear wiper with washer, and innovative C-pillar mounted door handles.
In terms of specifications, the brand has unveiled some key technical details, such as a 60kWh battery pack capable of delivering an impressive driving range of close to 500km on a single full charge. This robust range makes the eVX an enticing prospect in the electric vehicle segment.
Stay tuned for further updates as Maruti Suzuki continues its strides toward electrification, making the much-anticipated eVX a promising addition to the electric vehicle landscape.
