Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana: Bihar government has launched a beneficial scheme for the residents of Bihar called Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana. Under this scheme, people of Bihar will be given an assistance amount of ₹ 200000 to start their own employment. The special thing is that this is not loan scheme, in this the government will give Rs 2 lakh from its side, and there will be no need to repay it. What is Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana?

The current Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar launched the Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana on 17 January 2024. Under which, the government is giving Rs 2 lakh each to one member of every family of economically backward class living in Bihar to start their own business. Under Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana, 94 lakh families will be able to get its benefits directly. 62 such small industries have been identified for this scheme for which the government is giving an assistance amount of Rs 2 lakh.

When will you get the money

Under Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana 2024, Rs 2 lakh will be given in 3 installments. Rs 50,000 will be given in the first instalment, after which checking the expenditure incurred, Rs 1,00,000 will be given in the second installment and again Rs 50,000 will be given in the third instalment. For now, this scheme will continue for the next 5 years.

To avail the benefits of this scheme, the applicant must be a native of Bihar.
The applicant’s family should be financially poor.
The income of the applicant’s entire family should not exceed Rs 60,000.
No member of the family should be in a government job.
The application is acceptable only for the 62 types of small scale industries given above.

Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme will be accepted for the next five years from 2024. However the application process has not started yet.
