Tata Motors has recently launched its latest electric SUV in India, the electric Tata Punch, which can be booked by paying a token amount of just Rs 21000. The company has launched its four variants Smart, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+. Whose delivery is going to start from next month.
Electric Tata Punch is the fourth electric car from Tata Motors. Earlier, EV Tata Tiago, EV Tata Tiger, and EV Tata Nexon have captured the market. Punch EV is Tata’s second SUV which is available in petrol (ICE), CNG, and fully electric versions.
The electric Tata Punch is built on Tata’s new EV platform Acti.EV which is made from high-quality materials that guarantee superior safety. The company has not made any changes in its dimensions, it is same as the previous variant. The company has given it a similar design to the Nexon EV facelift with significant changes in its design pattern, which includes LED daytime running lights, slim LED headlights, a closed grille and new 16-inch alloy designs.
Extra space
The electric Tata Punch is India’s first electric car to feature a “frunk”, which gives an additional 14 liters of storage space under the bonnet. Apart from this, regular boot space of 366 liters is also available.

The starting price of electric Tata Punch is ₹ 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and its top variant is priced at ₹ 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Electric Tata Punch Battery and Range
The electric Tata Punch comes with mid-range and long-range battery packs with 25kWh and 35kWh capacities respectively. These battery packs extend the range of the EV by about 10%. Electric Punch with 25kWh battery pack can cover a distance of 315 km on a single charge and the variant with 35 kWh battery pack can cover a distance of up to 421 km. It also supports 7.2 kW fast home charger as well as 50 kW DC fast charge, using which it can be charged from 10% to 80% within an hour.
Performance
The mid-range electric Tata Punch offers 80 bhp of power and 114 Nm of peak torque, while the long-range version offers a stronger output of 120 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. This electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.5 seconds and its top speed is 140 kmph.
Features
The Electric Punch is equipped with leatherette seats, front-row seat ventilation, air purifier, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster, among other features. Additional features include wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring and six airbags as standard safety features.
