Tata Motors is actively testing the upcoming Punch EV, an electric vehicle designed for the Indian market. The latest sighting at a charging station has revealed intriguing details about this anticipated electric SUV.
Noteworthy Exterior Features of the Tata Punch EV
In the recently captured image, the Punch EV was seen receiving a charge at an EV station. Of interest is its front-bumper mounted charging flap, positioned beneath the grille. The overall fascia design remains consistent with its traditional ICE counterpart.
On the sides, the test model boasts squared wheel arches, substantial side cladding, and alloy wheels reminiscent of those found on the Tata Tiago and Tigor. The rear view displays an extended roof spoiler with an elevated stop lamp, rear wiper, and LED taillights.
Interior Setup of the Tata Punch EV
Earlier this year, leaked interior images of the Punch EV indicated notable updates. While the dashboard layout remained familiar, the center console underwent a redesign to incorporate features like an electronic parking brake, armrest, and a jewel-like rotary gear selector, akin to the Nexon EV.
In this latest round of spy shots, the Punch EV’s interior displays distinct design elements. The rotary knob continues from the Tiago EV, along with a manual hand brake.
Battery Options and Specifications
Anticipated features for the Punch EV include two battery pack choices, offering a driving range of 200 to 300 kilometers on a full charge. With these specifications, the Punch EV’s expected price range in the market is between Rs. 10 to Rs. 13 lakh.
