Actor Vikrant Massey and director Vidhu Vinod Chopra are celebrating the massive success of their recent movie, “12th Fail.” The film hit theaters on October 27th, captivating audiences and raking in substantial numbers at the box office. Vikrant’s outstanding performance in the movie has garnered him immense acclaim, with the exciting news that the film has been submitted for consideration at the 2024 Academy Awards.
During a recent interview with India Today, Massey revealed the exciting news about their Oscars submission for the movie as an independent nomination.
“12th Fail” has been receiving widespread praise from both critics and moviegoers since its release. The film is well on its way to crossing the Rs 50 crore (Rs 500 million) milestone at the box office, having already surpassed Rs 45 crores (Rs 450 million).

The movie, adapted from Anurag Pathak’s book of the same title, portrays the challenges faced by numerous students attempting the UPSC exam. Massey portrays the character of Manoj Kumar Sharma in the film, which is both written and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The movie also features Medha Shankar, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.

WION’s Pragati Awasthi hailed the film as Vikrant Massey’s standout performance. In her review, she expressed, “Vikrant’s portrayal in the film left a profound impact.
