Why Ankita Lokhande Hiding Her Break-Up with Sushant Singh Rajput for Two Years?

In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita Lokhande candidly shared her emotional journey, revealing that even after a two-year split, she held onto the hope that Sushant Singh Rajput would return to her.

The late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Ankita Lokhande, his co-star from Pavitra Rishta, were in a relationship for seven years before parting ways. Ankita, presently a contestant on Bigg Boss 17, frequently reflects on their past relationship and breakup. In the latest episode, she disclosed her two-year wait for Sushant’s return.

During Tuesday’s episode of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita disclosed that she kept her breakup with Sushant a secret for two years, nurturing the belief that their relationship might reconcile. “Often, people hesitate to disclose a breakup in the hope of rekindling the relationship. I, too, harbored that hope. For two years, I kept my breakup private,” Ankita shared.

She admitted holding onto the belief that Sushant would come back. “Considering our seven-year relationship, I believed he would return, so I kept it under wraps. I continued living in a space adorned with our shared memories,” Ankita added.

Earlier, Ankita revealed that after two years, she asked her mother to remove all photographs of her and Sushant from their home. “I confided in my mother. She removed the photos from my room, and we tore them up. I cried that day, marking the end of everything,” Ankita shared with BBC News Hindi.

Moving forward, Ankita found love again two and a half years after her breakup with Sushant, entering a relationship with her now-husband, Vicky Jain. However, their relationship faced criticism and trolling when it became public.

Describing her bond with Vicky, Ankita expressed, “When I met Vicky, I didn’t know where it would lead, but he supported me immensely. He showered me with unconditional love. Despite severe trolling, he stood by me, which very few do.” Ankita and Vicky Jain tied the knot in December 2021.
