2023 Tata Nexon EV Debuts in India at ₹14.74 Lakh with Extended Range and V2L Technology

Tata Motors has unveiled the latest iteration of the Tata Nexon EV in India, with an attractive introductory price of ₹14.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the enhanced Nexon EV LR now boasts an impressive 465km of certified range, marking a 12km increase. One standout feature of this electric vehicle is its V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, which essentially transforms the Nexon EV into a portable power bank. This innovation allows users to tap into the energy stored within the high-voltage battery to power various external devices, ranging from electric camping equipment to power tools and an array of consumer electronics. Moreover, the new Tata Nexon EV can even charge other electric vehicles.

When it comes to design, the Nexon EV flaunts bi-functional LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) coupled with a central position lamp, giving it a distinctive and unmistakable identity among electric vehicles. Notably, a significant addition is the introduction of a smart charging indicator, which provides real-time information on the State of Charge (SOC) during the charging process. The Nexon EV also offers an immersive visual experience through its expansive 31.24 cm (12.3-inch) ultra-High Definition (HD) touchscreen infotainment system, the largest in its segment.

Taking the cinematic experience a step further, the Nexon EV boasts a premium in-cabin audio setup featuring Harman’s AudioworX technology and nine high-quality JBL speakers. This impressive infotainment screen is complemented by a spacious 26.03 cm (10.25-inch) High Definition fully reconfigurable Instrument Cluster, offering a variety of customizable dial views.

A notable first for India, the vehicle includes an innovative app store called “Arcade.ev,” allowing users to access and enjoy their favorite video content, productivity apps, navigation tools, or games, including popular streaming platforms. Whether it’s watching a movie or attending virtual meetings while your car charges, the Nexon EV offers a versatile and connected driving experience.

In terms of driving dynamics, the Nexon EV delivers a digital driving experience, featuring multi-mode regenerative braking and versatile drive modes. The inclusion of paddle shifters enhances the on-the-go regenerative braking experience, while a smart digital shifter ensures effortless and intuitive driving.

When it comes to safety, the all-new Nexon EV sets high standards, with six airbags as standard, ESP with i-VBAC, SOS Call functionality, an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system equipped with a blind spot view monitor, enhancing spatial awareness and simplifying parking maneuvers.
