Allu Arjun Declines Offer from Alcohol and Pan Brand for Pushpa 2

Allu Arjun, currently busy with his highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has made headlines by turning down a lucrative offer from a liquor and pan brand. The brand sought to have its logo prominently featured every time the character ‘Pushpa’ smokes or chews in the movie. Despite a substantial offer of Rs 10 crore to the film’s makers, Allu Arjun politely declined, citing his discomfort with promoting such brands, as reported by Gulte.

This isn’t the first instance where Allu Arjun has rejected similar offers from alcohol or pan brands. Following the success of Pushpa: The Rise, there were reports of a tobacco company offering him a significant amount for a TV commercial, which he also turned down.

Directed and written by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rise, released in 2021, became a massive hit, focusing on the theme of red sandalwood smuggling. Allu Arjun’s exceptional performance in the film earned him the prestigious Best Actor National Award.

Earlier this year, Allu Arjun unveiled his first-look poster for Pushpa 2, showcasing himself draped in a saree, with a face painted in shades of blue and red, adorned with bangles, jewelry, a nose pin, and jhumkas. The recent release of Fahadh Faasil’s look poster from the movie has fans eagerly awaiting Rashmika Mandanna’s poster.

There are reports of Sai Pallavi joining the sequel, and the filmmakers are purportedly considering casting a Bollywood actor. However, no official announcements regarding the cast have been made yet.

Initially set for a December 2023 release, the much-anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule was recently rescheduled and is now slated for release on August 15, 2024.
