Ather 450x Launch Date in India

Ather Energy launched two variants of the Ather 450x electric scooter alongside the more affordable Ather 450s on August 11, 2023. This high-performance electric scooter competes directly with the Ola S1 and TVS iQube. The booking for this scooter has also been opened by the company.

The 450x is available in six attractive colors: Space Grey, Still White, Salt Green, True Red, Cosmic Black, and Lunar Grey.

Ather 450x Battery Capacity

The new Ather 450x is available in two battery capacities: 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh. With a nominal voltage of 51.1V, it offers a certified range of 111 km and 150 km, respectively, by IDC. The battery is encased in an aluminum alloy case for protection against water and dust, and it carries an IP67 rating.

Battery Charging Time

Both variants of the new 450x electric scooter support home charging and fast charging. The top model takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80% using a home socket and 5 hours and 45 minutes to achieve a full 100% charge. Similarly, the Ather Grid fast charger can provide a range of 1.5 km in just 1 minute of charging.

Both the variants share the same design but what differentiates the two is their battery capacity, range and charging time.

Ather 450x Top Speed

The Ather 450x boasts a top speed of 90 km/h. This electric scooter is equipped with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.3 seconds.

Motor and Power

The 450x electric scooter with a PMSM motor generates a maximum power of 6.4 kW and a maximum torque of 26 Nm. This contributes to achieving a top speed of 90 km/h.

Ather 450x Range

This e-scooter comes with five riding modes: SmartEco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp. Both models offer certified ranges of 111 km and 150 km, respectively. Their real-world ranges are approximately 90 km and 110 km, depending on riding skills and environmental conditions.

Ather 450x Warranty

The scooter comes with a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km (whichever comes first), while the battery is covered by a 3-year warranty. With the Pro option, you can extend the battery warranty to 5 years or 60,000 km. If the battery’s performance drops below 70% during this period, it can be replaced free of cost.

The price of the 450x ranges from 1.37 lakh to 1.50 lakh, varying by city.

Ather 450x Booking and Delivery

Bookings for the Ather 450x are open, and you can pre-book it by paying 2500 tokens on Ather Energy’s official website. The company has announced that deliveries for this scooter will start in October.

This e-scooter features a 7-inch touch display that operates on the Android Open Source operating system. It comes with 16GB storage, and 2 GB RAM, and is powered by the Snapdragon 212 Quadcore, 1.3 GHz processor.

Opting for the Pro plan provides you with smart features such as Dashboard auto-brightness, auto hold, auto indicator cut-off, guide me home light, vehicle fall safety, along with connected features like the Ather app, Navigation, Tow and Theft Notification, and Find my scooter.
