Exciting unveil: Maruti Suzuki to launch 2 cars in October

Maruti Suzuki, a trailblazer in the automotive industry, has adopted an assertive strategy in recent years, transforming its car lineup and introducing fresh options like the Grand Vitara, Fronx, and Jimny. The company’s spotlight on SUVs has solidified its position as the leading SUV manufacturer in the nation. This October, Suzuki is set to make waves at the Tokyo Mobility Show by unveiling new models, two of which carry significant importance in the Indian market. In this article, we’ll delve into these eagerly anticipated Maruti Suzuki vehicles.

The Revamped Swift: A Glimpse into the Future

Swift

The first vehicle generating buzz is the all-new Swift. Maruti has already teased enthusiasts with its concept version, and the official debut is scheduled at the Tokyo Mobility Show. The new Swift boasts subtle yet impactful design alterations, featuring sharper contours, updated headlamps, and a more compact grille. Suzuki has relocated the door handle from the c-pillar to the door, enhancing both aesthetics and accessibility. The vehicle showcases a fresh alloy wheel design and introduces new rear elements, including tail lamps and a bumper.

Inside, the new Swift mirrors the stylish interiors of the Fronx and Baleno. A floating infotainment system takes center stage, complemented by horizontal AC vents and revamped graphics on the instrument cluster. Technological enhancements may include improved connected car features, wireless charging capabilities, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a head-up display. Anticipate a robust hybrid setup, possibly featuring a 48V strong hybrid powertrain, alongside the trusty 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 88.5bhp and 113Nm of torque. Maruti’s unveiling in Tokyo will pave the way for an Indian launch in early 2024. As for pricing, the new Swift is expected to range from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Maruti eVX: A Leap into Futuristic Mobility

Maruti Suzuki eVX

In an electrifying move, Maruti showcased the eVX concept earlier this year at the 2023 Auto Expo. While the interiors remained shrouded in mystery, Suzuki is all set to lift the veil at the Tokyo Mobility Show. A sneak peek reveals interiors straight out of a science fiction narrative. Dual screens dominate the dashboard, housing cutting-edge infotainment features and the instrument cluster. The eVX interior further delights with a yoke-style steering wheel, a rotary-styled gear lever, ambient lighting, and touch-sensitive HVAC controls.

Diving into the specifics, the eVX measures 4300mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, placing it squarely in the C-segment SUV category alongside vehicles like the Hyundai Creta. This ground-up EV promises an exhilarating ride with a 60kWh battery pack, offering an impressive range of 550km. Suzuki hints at the possibility of both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, catering to diverse driving preferences. The production version of the eVX is slated for an early 2025 launch, with estimated prices ranging from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

In conclusion, Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming releases exemplify the brand’s commitment to innovation and the evolving needs of the Indian market. Stay tuned as these vehicles redefine the landscape of Indian automotive excellence.
