Indian automakers Mahindra and Ultraviolette are setting the stage for an electrifying future this August.
Mahindra revealed the electric version of its popular Thar SUV, named Thar.e. At the same time, Ultraviolette introduced the limited F77 Space Edition, celebrating India’s space achievements.
On India’s Independence Day, Mahindra surprised the automotive industry with the Thar.e concept—an electric take on the iconic Thar SUV that has stirred excitement among enthusiasts.

Coinciding with India’s Chandrayaan-3 moon landing, Ultraviolette launched the exclusive F77 Space Edition. This special motorcycle pays homage to India’s space achievements and showcases innovation and excellence. Limited to just 10 units, the F77 Space Edition comes with unique features, including a drag-reducing white paint job, “Space Edition” emblems, tank grips, an aerodynamic wheel cover, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires.
What caught attention beyond the announcements was the online interaction between Ultraviolette’s Narayan Subramaniam and Mahindra & Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer, Pratap Bose.
