Get ready for the exciting launch of the updated Bajaj Chetak in the Indian market, slated to arrive with its Premium variant on January 5th. Recently seen at a dealership, the revamped electric scooter gives us a sneak peek into its new features.
The most significant upgrade in the Chetak is its instrumentation. Say goodbye to the old circular screen as it’s been replaced by a vibrant color TFT unit. This new unit boasts Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and multiple ride modes. While we’re not certain if Bajaj will switch to a larger and more powerful battery than the existing 2.9kWh pack, we can anticipate an enhanced riding range similar to the Chetak Urbane version.
From spy images, it seems the electric scooter’s design and hardware will largely resemble the current model. Expect the same retro-inspired, sleek curves along with unchanged suspension and braking hardware. With these additional features and improvements, we can anticipate a slight price increase for the Chetak Premium, likely a few thousand rupees higher than its previous price of Rs 1.20 lakh.
