• Objective: The main objective of the scheme’s announced economic support package is to link beneficiaries with the MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) Value Chain.
• Banking Connection: Artisans engaged in handcrafted items will be connected to national and international banks through bank promotions.
• Skill Training: The scheme offers skill training in two forms: basic training, which will be 5-7 days long after training verification (approximately 40 hours), and advanced training, which interested candidates can take for 15 days (120 hours).
• Financial Assistance: The scheme provides financial assistance for training and supports those who want to start their businesses.
• Training Certificate and ID Card: Beneficiaries will receive training certificates and ID cards for identification to prevent misuse.
• Credit Loan: Collateral-free Enterprise Development Loans will be provided under the scheme in two installments, with the first installment of 1 lakh rupees for 18 months and the second installment of 2 lakh rupees for 30 months.
• Marketing Support: Marketing support will also be provided, including services like National Committee for Marketing (NCM) Quality Certification, branding and promotion, e-commerce linkages, trade fair ads, publicity, and other marketing activities.

Training Amount Under PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana

During the training, beneficiaries will receive an allowance of 500 rupees per day. Additionally, they will also be provided with a grant of 15,000 rupees to purchase their toolkit.

In this scheme, the following categories are included: carpenters, boat makers, armorers, blacksmiths, masons, lock makers, goldsmiths, potters, sculptors/stone carvers/stone breakers, cobblers, weavers: mat makers/coir weavers/broom makers, doll and toy makers (traditional), barbers, garland makers (flower decorators), laundry workers, tailors, and fishing net makers.

PM Vishwakarma Skill Honor Scheme Interest Rate:

Under this scheme, beneficiaries will receive a 5% interest rate subsidy. Although the beneficiaries will repay the loan at an 8% interest rate to MoMSME banks, the government will bear the cost of any credit guarantee fees.

PM Vishwakarma Skill Honor Scheme Eligibility:

• Only Indian residents can apply for this scheme.
• In this scheme, 140 castes under the Vishwakarma community are eligible to apply. These individuals should be engaged in one of the 18 family-based traditional businesses mentioned in the scheme and work with hands and tools in the unorganized sector. They should also want to start their own self-employment. Such artisans or craftsmen are eligible for registration under PM Vishwakarma.
• Applicants must meet the minimum age requirement, which is at least 18 years old.
• To benefit from this scheme, applicants must work in the same business they provided information about during registration.
• In the past five years, applicants should not have taken any loans under Central Government or State Government credit-based schemes such as PMEGP, PM SwaniDhi, MUDRA, etc.
• People employed in government service and their family members are not eligible under this scheme.
