Design of Tata Nexon Facelift
When it comes to the exterior design, the Tata Nexon Facelift features a bold upper grille section with a split-headlamp setup, adorned with the Tata Motors logo. The lower part of the headlights is enclosed in a trapezoidal housing with a thick plastic strip running across it. The refreshed Nexon also sports new LED daytime running light signatures.
In terms of upgrades, there isn’t much apart from the new accent line on the Nexon Facelift. At the rear, the updated Nexon boasts full-width LED lights, with the Tata Motors logo placed in between. The reverse light extends from the taillight housing to the bumper. Like before, the number plate is positioned on the bumper, with a faux skid plate. The ground clearance of the Nexon Facelift remains the same at 208mm.
Interior and Features of Tata Nexon Facelift
Inside, the Nexon Facelift resembles the interior of the Curv Concept, featuring a new touchscreen setup and a two-spoke steering wheel. The AC vents are now slimmer than before. The center console houses two toggles surrounded by touch-based HVAC controls. Both front and center feature a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen, which was first introduced in the Nexon EV Max Dark variant earlier this year.
In the Nexon Facelift, there is a second 10.25-inch full-digital instrument cluster that can be customized for navigation as well. The top-spec Nexon Facelift comes equipped with features such as a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, and an air filter.
Expected Pricing of Tata Nexon Facelift
The pricing for the Nexon Facelift will be announced on September 14th, and it is expected to be in the range of 8 lakhs to 15 lakhs INR (ex-showroom). It will compete with other SUVs in the market, including the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
Powertrain and Variants of Tata Nexon Facelift
The Nexon Facelift will continue to offer a 120hp, 170Nm, 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine, available with four gearbox options: a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCT. On the other hand, the 115hp, 160Nm, 1.5-liter diesel engine is now paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.
As mentioned earlier, Tata Motors has rebranded the existing trim names that started with ‘X.’ The new trim names for the Nexon Facelift include Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure+, Pure+ (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless (S), and Fearless+ (S). The ‘+’ denotes additional features, while the ‘(S)’ signifies trims with a sunroof.
