On its opening day, ‘Jawan’ is estimated to have raked in a staggering ₹75 crore across all languages in India. In this fierce showdown of box office collections, ‘Jawan’ has emerged victorious, surpassing the collections of Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer.’

Fans and critics alike are showering ‘Jawan’ with praise, labeling it a blockbuster. The film has received an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences.
Notably, Shah Rukh Khan’s reign extends beyond Indian borders, as ‘Jawan’ has asserted its dominance in international markets. Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, citing exclusive data, revealed that ‘Jawan’ has debuted at the number one spot in Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, the film garnered ₹2.11 crore, and in New Zealand, it amassed ₹39.13 lakhs on its first day. Meanwhile, in Germany, ‘Jawan’ secured a day one collection of ₹1.30 crore, and in the UK, it pulled in ₹2.16 crore.
Gadar 2’s Opening Day Impact
On August 11, ‘Gadar 2’ burst onto the scene with a spectacular opening, earning an impressive ₹40.1 crore. The film’s momentum continued into its second day, with collections reaching ₹43.08 crore, reflecting a 7.43 percent growth compared to its opening day. Despite the competition from ‘Jawan,’ ‘Gadar 2’ managed to accumulate ₹1.50 crore on Day 28, bringing its total earnings in India to ₹510.59 crore, according to a Sacnilk.com report.
Directed by Anil Sharma, ‘Gadar 2’ features the original cast, including Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their iconic roles. The film also boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Gaurav Chopra, Manish Wadhwa, Manoj Bakshi, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, Rohit Chaudhary, and Rakesh Bedi.
Jailer’s Thrilling Day 1 Collection
Released in theaters on August 10, ‘Jailer’ enjoyed an exhilarating opening day collection of ₹48.35 crore. As reported by Sacnilk.com, the Tamil version contributed ₹37.6 crore, the Telugu version added ₹10.2 crore, and the Kannada version brought in a modest ₹0.2 crore. In the Hindi belt, the film managed to garner ₹0.35 crore. The film’s total nett India collections stand at ₹398.68 crore, with a worldwide collection of ₹593 crore.
Interestingly, on the same day as ‘Jawan’s’ release, Prime Video hosted the digital premiere of Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer.’
