Introducing the Orxa Mantis, the newest addition to India’s electric motorcycle lineup. Priced at ₹3.60 lakh (ex-showroom), this pure electric naked streetfighter recently hit the Indian market. It’s here to challenge the already popular Ultraviolette F77 electric superbike, which has been turning heads.

Orxa Energies, the brains behind the Mantis, has opened bookings for this electric motorcycle. The initial 1,000 customers can reserve it for just ₹10,000, while subsequent buyers can book it for ₹25,000. Deliveries are set to begin in April next year.

India’s electric motorcycle sector has been witnessing a surge in new premium offerings, focusing more on high performance rather than just everyday commuting. The Orxa Mantis follows suit. With its sleek design and claimed title as the most lightweight electric motorcycle in its segment, this naked streetfighter boasts an aggressive look.

The Orxa Mantis hits the market at ₹3.60 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Ultraviolette F77 is available in a price range spanning ₹3.80 lakh to ₹5.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Clearly, the Orxa Mantis stands out as the more affordable option between the two.

Orxa Mantis vs Ultraviolette F77: Specifications

The Orxa Mantis is powered by an 8.9 kWh battery pack, offering a promised range of 221 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Ultraviolette F77 offers multiple battery options ranging from 7.11 kWh to 10.5 kWh. This electric superbike provides a variable range between 206 km and 307 km on a single charge.

The Orxa Mantis can reach a top speed of 135 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.9 seconds. It generates 27 bhp peak power and 93 Nm of maximum torque. On the other hand, the Ultraviolette F77 can hit a top speed of 152 kmph and go from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.9 seconds. It offers power output ranging between 36 bhp and 40 bhp, with a maximum torque output between 85 Nm and 100 Nm.
