Bengaluru-based startup Ather Energy recently created a buzz on Twitter by sharing an intriguing teaser video. On August 11th, they are set to introduce their latest electric scooter models, Which could be part of the 450 series. Although the company hasn’t revealed all the details yet, it’s expected that these additions could include an affordable electric scooter, poised to compete directly with the Ola S1 Air. Rumor is that these new Ather scooters might be named 450S, 450X Gen 4.
Battery and Range of the Ather 450S
Ather’s upcoming electric scooters qualify for the FAME-2 subsidy, which offers various benefits under the EV policy across different states. The Ather 450S comes equipped with a 3kWh battery pack, providing a single charge range of up to 115km, certified by IDC (Indian Driving Conditions). It boasts a top speed of 90 km/h. This electric scooter will soon join the Indian market, competing against Ola and Hero Vida V1, among other electric scooter models.
Design of the Ather 450S
Anticipate a design similar to the popular 450X model in the upcoming Ather 450S. The sporty and sharp styling remains a hallmark of Ather scooters, ensuring its presence in the EV industry. The upcoming Ather 450S will feature sporty LED headlights, sleek turn indicators, C-sized LED taillights, and stylish black alloy wheels, all contributing to its curved front cowl.
Non-Touch LCD Display
The new Ather 450S will come with a non-touch LCD, differing from the full touchscreen display of the 450X. While the navigation system might have some variations from the 450X’s advanced system, the 450S promises an exciting experience.
