Prabhas' Salaar Advance Ticket Sales Lag Behind Dunki on Day 1

After a long wait, Prashanth Neel’s much-anticipated movie, “Salaar-Part One: Ceasefire,” is all set to grace the big screens on December 22. The buzz among Prabhas’ fans is sky-high, evident from the impressive advance booking numbers. As per a Sacnilk report, the film, centered around friendship, has secured 2,48,564 tickets (across all languages) for its opening day. With advance bookings totaling ₹6.03 crore, Salaar’s release in five languages—Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi—anticipates a global audience. Adding spice to the box office competition, Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki” is also releasing within a day of Salaar, having amassed ₹7.46 crore through advance bookings.

The surge in advance bookings hints at jam-packed theaters on Salaar’s first day. And did you know who purchased the first ticket for the film? None other than veteran filmmaker SS Rajamouli. This special moment was captured and shared by Hombale Films, the production house behind Salaar. The picture features Rajamouli alongside superstars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, all proudly posing with a giant ticket. The caption accompanying the photo reads, “Legendary Director SS Rajamouli Garu buys the first ticket for #SalaarCeaseFire in Nizam,” marking a memorable start.

In a recent move, the creators of Salaar dropped the film’s first single, “Sooreede,” on Thursday. This track, centered on the theme of friendship, showcases animated sketches of the lead actors intertwined with captivating cinematic shots. Alongside moments featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the video highlights younger versions of the actors. The heartwarming scenes include a maternal figure feeding the young boys and joyful moments of them riding a horse-drawn carriage. The video concludes with Prabhas comforting a concerned Prithviraj. Sung by Harini Ivaturi, “Sooreede” boasts music by Ravi Basrur and lyrics penned by Krishna Kanth (KK).
