Tata Tiago EV Battery

Tata Tiago EV is a 5 seater SUV car. Which comes in two battery variants of 19.2 kWh medium range and 24 kWh long range in the market. The company is also providing a 7.2 kW AC fast charger with it, which will charge the 19.2 kWh battery in 2.6 hours and the 24 kWh battery in 3.6 hours from 10 to 100 percent. The battery has got IP67 rating which ensures that the battery is protected against water and dust.

In other charging options, you can also charge it with 15 amp wall socket and 3.3 kW wall box charger. Charging from 10 to 100 percent with the 15 amp socket charger will take 6.9 hours for the 19.2 kWh battery and 8.7 hours for the 24kWh battery, while the 3.3 kW wall box charger will take 5.1 hours and 6.4 hours, respectively.

Tata Tiago EV Technology

Tata Tiago EV is Tata’s first generation electric car based on Ziptron technology. The company has already launched its three cars Xpres-T, Tigor EV, Nexon EV on the first generation. That’s why people will be able to easily rely on the first generation all electric car Tata Tiago EV.

In this, the company has given a 7-inch Harmon infotainment system with Apple Carpaly and Android Auto connectivity and more than 45 connected car features. Liquid cool technology has been used for the thermal management system. This car is based on fully automatic transmission.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Division has confirmed that the Tata Tiago EV is the last car based on the first generation. Which has now been launched.

He has said that the company is soon going to bring the car developed on the new generation i.e. second generation platform to the market.

Tata’s next upcoming all electric car, the Tata Sierra, will be the first electric car based on the second generation. In this episode, Tata Avinya, which is a high profile concept car, will be launched in the market by 2025. This Tata electric car is based on the third generation.

Tata Tiago EV Mileage

As you know, Tata Tiago is available in two variants of different battery capacity. And its range will also be different.

The medium range Tata Tiago EV with 19.2 kWh battery and 45ps motor will offer a range of 250 km (As Per MIDC Cycle) and 315 km (As Per MIDC Cycle) with 24 kWh battery pack and 55ps motor. Which the company has claimed.

But, if we talk about its actual range, then you can see the actual range of 190 km with the medium range Tiago EV and 250 km with the long range Tiago EV.

In terms of acceleration, the mid-range Tiago with the 19.2 kWh battery pack achieves 0-60 kmph in just 6.2 seconds and the long-range Tiago EV with the 24 kWh battery pack achieves it in just 5.7 seconds. This car comes with two driving modes City and Sport.

Tata Tiago EV Engine And Power

The company has launched four models of Tata Tiago. All four of its models will be FWD (First Wheel Drive) variants, which means a motor will be attached to its front axle. Which will generate 45ps of max power and 110Nm of max torque with 19.2 kWh battery pack and 55ps of max power and 114Nm of max torque with 24kWh battery pack.

Tata Tiago EV Exterior Design

The design pattern of the Tata Tiago EV is similar to the standard Tiago petrol variant. However, to show its electric nature, apart from the EV signature, the blue strip below the bumper across the width of the bonnet and the blue outline along with the foglamps have been given.

There have been no changes on the side and things look pretty much the same. But in this you have been given 14 inch dual finish wheels, which look completely new style and modern. But let us tell you that this is not an alloy wheel. Rather there are fancy looking steel wheels with wheel caps.

At the rear, the company has not made any significant changes. The rear door is electric operated, all you have to do is press a button. Like the petrol tiago, it also gets 240 liters of boot space.

While the Tigor EV gets a spare wheel, the Tiago EV only comes with a puncture kit. Here some storage is occupied by the portable charger.

Tata Tiago EV Interior Design

If we talk about the interior design of Tiago, then its overall layout and design is similar to the standard Tiago. However, there has been a slight change in its theme. Blue color strip has been given inside its aircon vents and digital instrument cluster.

Another major change that Tata has made is the replacement of the traditional gear lever with a gear dial, giving you more space in the center console area.

However, the biggest update will be seen in its multi mode region function and city and sport drive modes. Which can be accessed from the buttons provided on the dashboard. The Tata Tiago EV uses cream colored leatherette with a mild interior theme.

The top spec XZ+ gets Tech Lux trim projector headlamps, leather wrapped steering wheel and adjustable driver seat.

The company has a warranty of 3 years or 125000 Km (whichever is completed first) on the vehicle of all variants of Tiago EV (whether it is long range or medium range).
