Ather Energy, marking a decade of groundbreaking advancements, has unveiled its exclusive Ather Apex 450 electric scooter. This remarkable scooter, derived from the acclaimed 450X model, flaunts enhancements in both style and performance. Priced at ₹1.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ather Apex 450 embodies premium quality without being eligible for the FAME II subsidy. Emphasizing the milestone of Ather Energy’s journey, this model will be offered on a made-to-order basis, highlighting a decade of Ather Energy’s excellence and the evolution of the 450 platform with significant upgrades.
Ather Apex 450 Power and Performance:
The Ather Apex 450 boasts a superior powertrain, featuring a PMS electric motor now delivering 7 kW (9.3 bhp) compared to the 6.4 kW (8.5 bhp) in the 450X. While maintaining a peak torque of 26 Nm, this upgrade introduces a new Warp+ mode, replacing the previous Warp mode. This enhancement translates to an increased top speed of 100 kmph (from 90 kmph) and an impressive acceleration of 0-40 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, shaving off 0.4 seconds from the 450X. Ather claims a 13% improvement in initial acceleration and a 30% boost in acceleration between 40-80 kmph.

Innovative Features:
The Ather Apex 450 introduces the innovative Magic Twist feature, enabling negative throttle for regenerative braking. By twisting the throttle in the opposite direction up to 15 degrees, riders experience smoother regenerative braking, reducing strain on the brakes during everyday riding. Moreover, this advancement extends the range from the claimed 150 km on the 450X to an impressive 157 km.
Distinctive Design:
While retaining its dimensions, the Ather Apex 450 sports a unique Indium blue color scheme with vibrant orange highlights, including the ‘Ather’ branding, chassis, and alloy wheels. The addition of a blue transparent side panel, revealing the chassis, gives the e-scooter a more striking appearance. The touchscreen dashboard maintains its design, now showcasing new graphics for the Warp+ mode.
Continued Excellence:
Mechanical components such as the telescopic front forks, aluminum and steel chassis, monoshock rear suspension, and disc brakes remain unchanged.
Availability and Deliveries:
Scheduled for deliveries in March 2024, bookings for the Ather Apex 450 are now open. This limited edition offering will hit Ather showrooms starting February, inviting enthusiasts to experience this milestone creation firsthand.
